No. Complete beginners start with Noor Al-Bayan, where you learn the Arabic letters and how to pronounce them before any Tajweed rules are introduced.

Are classes 1-on-1 or in a group? +

Both are available. 1-on-1 gives you a dedicated teacher and fully personalised pacing, while small group classes are a more affordable option.

How long does the programme take? +

Around 16 weeks for the core Tajweed syllabus, though the pace adapts to how often you attend and how much you practise between sessions.

Can I get an Ijazah through Medad? +

Yes. Once your recitation meets the required standard, you can continue onto the Ijazah track and study for a certified Sanad with a senior scholar.
